Who is Encorp
Encorp Pacific (Canada) is the federally incorporated, not-for-profit stewardship agency appointed to fulfill the requirements of the BC Recycling Regulation, Schedule 1, Beverage Container Product Category (BC Reg. 449/2004). Our Board of Directors consists of representatives of the beverage and retail grocery industries as well as directors who have no connection with either industry.
Our mandate is to develop, manage and improve systems to recover used packaging and end-of-life products from consumers and ensure that they are properly recycled and not land-filled or incinerated. Encorp’s approved Stewardship Plan includes all ready-to-drink beverage containers sold in British Columbia as identified under Schedule 1 of the Recycling Regulation such as aluminum cans, plastic, glass, bi-metal, drink boxes, gable top cartons, bag-in-a-box, stand-up pouches as well as refillable bottles on behalf of appointed producers.
This newsletter and the informational articles published are designed to help producers and retailers navigate the beverage container recycling system in BC. The publication is distributed to all brand owners, producers and retailers that have products registered with, report sales and remit fees to Encorp Pacific (Canada).
